Martina is a registered psychologist with over 15 years of experience in a wide range of settings including early intervention services, community mental health, and forensic rehabilitation. Martina is particularly passionate about working with individuals who are affected by trauma-related difficulties and has a thorough understanding of the impact of early life experiences in shaping a person’s development. She provides therapeutic interventions to clients presenting with a range of complex issues, including mood and anxiety disorders, personality disorders and substance misuse. Martina believes in the importance of establishing a genuine therapeutic relationship with her clients; she cultivates a safe, compassionate and collaborative space to help her clients gain greater self-awareness, build new skills, and develop healthier ways to relate to themselves and others. Depending on the client’s priorities, needs and preferences, Martina uses a range of evidence-based treatment modalities, drawing from Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Narrative Therapy.
Martina works Tuesday 9.00 to 5.30 , Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9am to 5.30pm and every third Saturday from 9am to 5pm. Martina works between the Drummond Street and Essendon location.
