Martina is a registered psychologist with over 15 years of experience in a wide range of settings including early intervention services, community mental health, and forensic rehabilitation. Martina is particularly passionate about working with individuals who are affected by trauma-related difficulties and has a thorough understanding of the impact of early life experiences in shaping a person’s development. She provides therapeutic interventions to clients presenting with a range of complex issues, including mood and anxiety disorders, personality disorders and substance misuse. Martina believes in the importance of establishing a genuine therapeutic relationship with her clients; she cultivates a safe, compassionate and collaborative space to help her clients gain greater self-awareness, build new skills, and develop healthier ways to relate to themselves and others. Depending on the client’s priorities, needs and preferences, Martina uses a range of evidence-based treatment modalities, drawing from Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, EMDR and Narrative Therapy.
Martina works at the Carlton location Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays and every third Saturday from 9am to 5pm.
